Hillside Lodge is a Supportive Living Facility located in Two Hills, a town often referred to as the “Gateway to the North.” Two Hills is a charming town recognized for its hilly countryside and abundant forests, rich farming history and Ukrainian Heritage.
The town is located 137 km from Edmonton and is well serviced by diverse commercial services, health care facilities, and recreational opportunities including a curling club, tennis courts, ice arena, rodeo grounds, and a stunning picnic area located along the Vermilion River.
Amenities
Studio apartments of up to 414 square feet are tastefully decorated with vinyl flooring and window coverings, and feature a bed, side table, dresser, chair and full private bathroom. Housekeeping and linen service is provided weekly and personal laundry service is available for a fee.
Building amenities include a social/recreation area, exercise area, barber/beauty salon, library, hobby/craft room, common area, laundry room. A computer for use by residents is also available.
Whenever available guests can rent a room for $60 per night while visiting residents.
Services and Features
Food Services
All meals and snacks are provided in a dining room where residents can enjoy fine food and stimulating conversations with friends new and old. Small refrigerators and microwaves provided by Residents are permitted in rooms.
Health & Wellness
Hillside Lodge is staffed by caring well-trained staff that provide 24-hours-a-day support and emergency assistance.
A doctor visits the facility regularly and Home Care can be arranged for residents requiring assistance with personal care needs including medication assistance, bathing, toileting and dressing.
A mild exercise program led by the recreation coordinator takes place three to four days a week. Other outings and special events take place throughout the week.
Recreation
Eagle Hill Foundation believes wholeheartedly in the importance of providing residents with programs that build on their strengths and provide them with activities that are both mentally and physically stimulating. Activities vary from site to site but may include outings, exercise classes, gardening, crafts, and games like bingo or cards. Bible studies and a weekly church services also take place and are led by volunteers.
Holidays and birthdays are cause for celebration at Eagle Hill and provide residents and staff with themes around which to plan events and parties that tend to involve cakes or sweets of some kind. Visits from children are encouraged and groups like Mom and Tots hold programs onsite.
Interested in getting out and seeing what Two Hills County has to offer? Eagle Hill has a 16-passenger van that is used to transport residents to local events, performances and shops.
Many of our residents prefer to stay home and visit with friends or take a walk around the grounds. At Hillside Lodge there is no shortage of things to do or people to visit with.
Fees and Eligibility
Hillside Lodge accepts functioning independent adults, including those using walkers and wheelchairs. Suite rents are based on size and the individuals Notice of Assessment.
